LOL! Thank you Allen :) Actually I´m not there on holiday, it´s where I work, and I took this picture yesterday, while on duty for the local paper :)

Christel, your photo leads my eyes from the roses right on down to the fishing boats. Great DOF and composition. Vote 8

Nice view Christel. What a pleasant place. I like the clouds and the nice, crisp, clean buildings across the way but I especially like the splash of color in the foreground. Nice touch. (7+)

Christel actually this is a great image. Only thing I'd like to see better is the smokestack/obelisk object having some detail. It's so dark I'm not sure what it is. I think it's a smokestack but not sure. Also the black object on middle left could be cropped out. I especially like the light on the water on the right side. All in all I'd be proud to call this one mine. Great composition and depth of field as Roger pointed out. I don't normally go back and comment again but I really really like this one.

An ND-grad *and* a flash eh? And what are you doing handholding a non-macro shot? Actually it doesn't matter...This is a very pleasant shot and I didn't realize you could get this much DOF at f8 even with a wide lense (see, I learned something again). I also like the fact that you didn't use the flower in a way that makes it compete with the village. Although either cropping the left a bit or moving to your right may help balance the comp. (7.75)

nice mood to this shot. Nice touch the flowers on the bottom. Good eye you have to get all the elements in.

Very picturesque! I'm surprised that no one commented on the "angry sky" that looks like it's going to open up and drench everything with rain. I think it's one of your best!

Hi Christel. This pic is very nice and interesting to look at. Knowing that you live in Denmark, I first started looking for some Scandinavian architecture in the buildings. It doesn’t look anything like some of the ‘Norwegian row’ houses that I’ve seen in some old fishing village pics. I can see more Western type of Victorian style in some. Are some of these building structures displayed more recent additions? This small scene reminds me a lot of the Eureka, California bay front on Humboldt Bay that is connected to the Pacific Ocean. Eureka also is connected to the seasonal tourist trade with huge Ocean liners moored in the harbor during the summer. Nice pic & nice place to live. Can you go fishing in that water? Those dark clouds tell me that the fish are about ready to bite.…Dennis
