An unfortunate use of harsh light and dark shadows across the subjects face. You get the impression that this fellow is looking at a barred window from a dark cell. Perhaps using something to diffuse the light and increasing the depth-of-field would help.

Lassi .. I think the boy's face needs to be sharpened and the highlight in his hair seems to have too much contrast. Shadows across the face of a portrait are tricky and only in rare cases work really well, but since I'm not sure about this one, I offer no critism, although another person has, and can't really disagree with him (Mats). If you rework it bring it alive with maybe a little more sparkle in his eyes. On the plus side ... I can tell you this .. That's one handsome little boy!

Well I'm sorry but I have to disagree with Mats. I like the lighting - it offers another look at a child rather than the usual cute pictures. I quite like this as is - but that's just my humble opinion. Nice work.
