not sure which one i like the most ; in the first one pose is bettter but i'm not sure i'm missing the reflection; the 2d has indeed better action,

Both are super Tim. Hard to choose a fav. one. But I go for #2.
You handled the whites in both superb.

Thank you for the kind comments. I was torm myself between the two. I also prefer the action and reflection of no.2, but felt it was just too side on and liked the more elegant pose of the posted shot. The bird had come closer to me and I did not have room for the entire reflection in the frame.
