 | Comment by Danij(5/19/2010 5:48:24 PM) - The tree shape is really unique! And the top is the bird on the highest branch. Very nicely done capture, very well done toning. |

Comment by ckldybr (A perfect photo is just a click away) (4/27/2010 7:21:55 PM) - Kay, I like the feel of this. The Eagle on his perch, watching, waiting, quietly observing. You've done an excellent job with the post processing. I like everything about it. Take care. Barb. |

Comment by Mark Polis(4/27/2010 5:13:28 PM) - Wow, Kay, great shot!!! And from a boat, yet! As others have said, the presence of the eagle up there makes the comp just perfect. Love it, Kay. I'd hang this one up in an instant. |

Comment by Les McLean (**** )) (4/27/2010 4:48:57 PM) - In theory, this shouldn't work, but it does, it works in spades, and the long curving main branch is the key to the impact.
It takes a canny eye to realise a composition like this-well done. |
|
 | Comment by Steve Taylor(4/27/2010 4:39:04 PM) - Nice work Kay. Great comp that works well in b/w. |

Comment by TW_Bda (Tim White) (4/27/2010 3:53:22 PM) - Great tones and textures, the image works well. I like Yan M's suggestion for a crop, and also wonder what it might be like with the tree more to the right and more space to the left? Still - great as is... |

Comment by LindaY (Plant Paparazzi) (4/27/2010 3:43:29 PM) - Lots of great mood to this one, Kay. I love seeing that eagle high up on the bare branch. The textures and shape of the bare tree are very dramatic and I like the additional trees in the background. This is a great subject for b/w. Well done! |

|
 | Comment by LindaY (Plant Paparazzi) (12/19/2009 3:02:09 PM) - Excellent view point and wonderful composition. I particularly like the placement of this boat [^648;405;1] as it sails past the Statue of Liberty. I love the lighting on the statue particularly well as it shows the lines to an excellent advantage. Very well done! |
|
 | Comment by Mark Polis(12/19/2009 11:17:54 AM) - Wonderful shot of Liberty Island and the Lady, Kay. Great comp and angle on her pose.
There are a bunch of replica statues around the world (e.g., the one in the Seine River in Paris) including one in the middle of the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania about an hour from where I live. The statue is almost entirely white as viewed from US-322 East and West going past the river. |
