The texture of the lichens on the branch contrast beautifully with the feathers on this adorable bird, while the similar colors of the two integrate the picture. The diagonal line of the branch is very effective and the clarity of the red eye emphasizes the quality of this photograph. Top notch artistry and technique. Congratulations. |

| Comment by candycane - this is outstanding in every way. the subject is perfectly placed as well as the snow flying in the air. the darker trees make a great backdrop. only the forground snow is blurred or burned out but that seems to add to the getting the focus where you want it. |

Fantastic Chris! Everything looks great here to me but I especially like the colors - bg is a good prove that it was cold and cloudy day as there is literaly no color there and it makes boy look almost 3D - I love this shot!!! |

The colours are awsome arno, I would have prefered to see the blade here [^440;323;1] with a little more rotation so thast it didnt blend with the base pole.
